She was born in Zeitz/former East Germany.
Afterwards she moved to West Germany and due to
the profession of her father - an engineer - she
lived in Mexico and Luxemburg for several years.
She worked as a foreign correspondent for English
and Spanish two years in Spain and afterwards she
worked for the great industrialist and art lover
Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı in Istanbul. Here she got
to know her husband and chose to live in Istanbul.
When her husband - a member of the Rotary Club -
got President, they decided to show Turkey from
her intellectual side and hence organized an
exhibition with works of the assistants belonging
to the Academy of Fine Arts of the Mimar Sinan
University/Istanbul. This exhibition was then
shown in Frankfurt and Vienna. She had been so
much impressed during her duty of this
organization, that she could never again get rid
of Fine Arts. She was a guest student at the Mimar
Sinan University and took private lessons from the
assistants Tanju Demirci and İrfan Önürmen. She
worked hard and oıpened her first solo exhibition
after 4 years. So far she had several
solo-exhibitions and participated in numerous
group exhibitions.
The artist is working in Istanbul. Her paintings
can be found in several European countries, at the
Turkish Consulate General in Hamburg and in the
United States.
